Daylily Care:

One Daylily flower lasts just one day, hence their name (read below).  Mature plants usually have several stems and many flowers per stem, but they do not all open at once.  Many of the modern daylilies we offer are quite prolific.  The new varieties are being bred for extended blooming period.  In particular look for repeat bloomers and ones under the trade name “Happily Ever Appster”.  For more questions, talk to one of our experts.  Enjoy!

Gardening Fun Fact:
Hemerocall
is, the botanical name for daylily, comes from the greek word “hemero” meaning for a day and “callis”  meaning Beautiful.
