Plants for Dry, Infertile Soil Conditions

This is a list of shrubs and trees available through Kennedy's that are tolerant to the sandy soil conditions of many sites on the south shore. Sandy soil drains water away quickly and tends to be low in organic matter. After the plant is established for at least one full summer, they should tolerate dry and infertile conditions better than most other plants.
