Pete Bottomley of Bradfield Organics and Coast of Maine Products will reveal the secrets to successfully developing and maintaining lawns and gardens the earth friendly way.

12:30 pm Attracting Birds to Your Backyard
John Galluzzo of Mass Audubon’s South Shore Sanctuaries, will tell us how to entice birds to our backyards with native plantings.  Find out how you can help Mass Audubon track Baltimore Oriole populations on the South Shore.

1:30 pm  It’s All About Roses
Jim Torrey, our local expert on roses, is back by popular demand to answer all your questions about roses.

3:00 pm Spring has Sprung in Fresh Flowers
Paul D. Watt, Kennedy’s very talented head florist, will create 
fresh and unique spring designs for 2008.

 

Sunday, February 17th
10:15 am New Plants and Past Favorites
Tim Barthel of Monrovia Growers will highlight new plant varieties for 2008 as well as old favorites to fulfill your garden dreams.

11:30 pm Luscious Tropical Containers
Tim Barthel will show us how to bring the look of a hot tropical 
garden to your backyard.

1:00 pm The Art of Bonsai
Ted Haworth, Principal Master Gardener, will share basic care 
techniques for bonsai enthusiasts.

2:15 pm Revitalize Your Perennial Gardens
Karen Olson of Sunny Border Nurseries will introduce exciting new and noteworthy perennial plants for 2008.

3:15 pm Pruning, Plant Care & Development
Stan Nantais, certified arborist, will offer tips on how and when to properly prune the plants and trees in your yard.

Monday, February 18th is Kids Day!
Activities from 11 am to 3 pm – All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Sign up for the Kennedy’s Green Thumb Kids Club!
